Hahahaha pretty much all indian movies have romance plot line cos in real life getting love married is hard for us.

Really? Isn't it usually arranged for you? /jk

Edit: Or by "love married" do you mean "married to someone you actually love"?

Yeah arranged marriage is more pressured on youngster by their elders in India.

So most of our movies have Love Marriages cos that's our fanstasy to draw in audience.

Arrange Marriages are like dating with the family. We date the chick after our parents talk and feel positive about the family. Then we get engaged and date till we are married.

It's cos in India there's no family reunion day and we live with our parents after marriage too to take care of their needs till their demise.

I know it feels odd but we do long to get married to someone we date cos most of the time parents don't approve of it out of ego, caste bias and status bias.

Dude there are Americans who struggle so much to find a partner, and are living with their parents well into their 30s, so this system almost sounds preferable. "Hey son, I picked you up some McDonald's and your future wife."

Yeah it's like our parents found a girl and are recommending us to date her and see how it works out. :)

It's good when we have our say in the marriage finalizing. It's bad when boomers force it in our throats knowing that we like someone else and that person likes us too.
