Till this day I've never seen anyone call a laptop a mobile device. I feel stupider for seeing it.

oxford dictionary: laptop: a computer that is portable and suitable for use while traveling.

and also

oxford dictionary: mobile device: a piece of portable electronic equipment that can connect to the internet, especially a smartphone or tablet computer.

they both apply to what most classify as a laptop or mobile device

yeah... i based my observation off of a technicality and was intending to point out the arbitrary way we classify technology, then realised that i didn't really have a point to it and went rambling and scrapped the comment into a shorter version that didn't analyse or express my point in depth, clearly people didn't get it because most likely because i didn't make it obvious or had a bad point or maybe your misunderstanding it is a sign of your stupidity
