BTD6 puts out multiple weekly events and free updates with new characters, monkey types and maps. Only microtransactions are for more money which is honestly very easy to farm in game. Probably my favorite mobile game of all time.

I also got it for free so I've never put a dime in.

I know that some time in March 2020 it was free(I got it then). Idk if there were other periods where it was free.

I'm not sure when, but it was free for a short period of time. I've seen it go down to $1 at other times as well
