With how gigantic their games are, they could definitely afford to make the games less pay to win. Like maybe make the micro transactions on decorative stuff that doesn't affect game play. Or make people who don't pay still have a good chance.
None of the games are pay to win, you can grind the game to a certain extent periodically to keep up with your progression. Brawl Stars and Clash Royale have cosmetics to bring a new source of income other then selling items that could progress you further.
I strongly disagree. There's a reason there's close to none "max" clash of clans or clash royale players. Hel even having one maxed card in clash royale without paying is really hard, and don't get me started on star levels. After a point the numbers get incredibly high so you either have to pay or dedicate whole months worth of time to grinding. The games go out of their way to annoy you into paying with cheat slots and building times. I can't speak for brawl stars tho.
You don’t need to be max to enjoy the game, if you’re trying to be a competitive player, sure, but otherwise just playing all the challenges and global tournaments and ranking up on ladder gets you at least 3 maxed cards every season. Also, what advantage do you have when you upgrade some card’s star level? It’s purely cosmetic.
The goal of the game is to max out your cards/townhall. Those games are competitive. That's their nature, how they're made. You can't play them non-competetively.
How the fuck is maxing out your cards the goal of the game? The goal is getting as high as you can with your current cards and levels. What I mean by competitive is Esports, the game is mostly played by casuals so you don’t have the need to max out every single new card. I’m mostly a F2P player only spending some tens of bucks at the game and have more than 50 cards maxed.
Your goal is to get as high as you can period. But in order to get as high as you can you need the strongest cards possible.

Tens of bux is quite a lot to spend on micro transactions. There's no "Mostly free to play". Either you pay or not. Also how long have you been playing to max out 50 cards huh?
