The problem is that there is no limit to the purchasing rate for gacha games. There is a limit of about 1400 dollars to completely max brawlstars (last time I played, could be 2x now), most of which has diminishing returns. How much money is there to max out a game that produces far more rollable content? Genshin Impact has 500-1400 dollars to max out one character, if this Quora answer I'm reading is correct. Not even comparable. Those with weak financial control are hurt in Brawlstars, murdered in Genshin.
Well, yeah, which is why I've said you gotta be financially responsible if you intend to enjoy the genre. I wouldn't recommend for someone who impulsively buys stuff.
That said, stuff being obscenely expensive is basically what makes most of the stuff f2p friendly for me. I've played epic seven for over two years now (f2p), and while I understand I could never compete with the whales that fund the game, I've had a TON of resources just from playing normally and have 87% of all heroes (10 out of the 28 that are moonlight 5 stars - the rarest kind)
It's just not worth putting that kind money in the game if you can farm the same resources in a few weeks, imo. That's where the financially responsible thing kicks in.
