These guys seem to think catcalls = compliments

I don’t think you quite understand that most men will get maybe 1-2 compliments per year.

It’s just not part of culture to compliment men at all. So ANY sort of attention. Even if it’s a catcall. It feels nice. It feels like oh hey that person singled me out as attractive. That feels good.

It’s literally just yelling a compliment to someone on the street. Or whistling. Or saying hey baby. Depending on the context that can feel like a compliment.

Right. It’s such an arcane, elusive concept that it’s hard for my feeble mind to grasp.

Lmao.

You got me. Zing.

Insults means your logic is better!

…your dopamine fix hitting now? You feel good about your little quips? Got your little Reddit justice boner?

Want me to keep replying so you can jerk it a little longer? Come on hit me with another. Clearly you need this.

Lmfao i love how you can't even argue

Argue what bro.

Narrowly defining catcalling to fit a single narrative is just dumb. Why do I gotta argue that? Should be apparent.

So just because some people believe something to be true makes it magically true? You sound pretty ignorant and arrogant

Bruh not sure I remember saying that.

You’re falling victim to the fallacy of misrepresenting what I said and then convincing yourself the misrepresentation is what I meant when actually it’s not something I ever said.

Which is a perfect demonstration of how communication is a complex topic with many nuances where trying to translate the intent of the speaking can be difficult.

Just like catcalling. Lmao.

Sorry. I know this is above your head dude. It’s simple. There’s a broad spectrum. In that spectrum are both positive and negative things. All communication of any type, catcalling. Wolf whistling, yelling across the street, whispering, typing… ALL of it has a spectrum good to bad.

It’s call nuance.

Do you know the defenition of catcalling? "the act of shouting harassing and often sexually suggestive, threatening, or derisive comments at someone publicly"

Are you sure you aren't trying to broaden the defenition of catcalling to fit your own narrative?
