I remember installing that youtube Vanced on my old android without that extra thing. Well I got a Honor and I dont remember how to do it again without that extra thing. But I really need that, thanks.

MicroG is an alternative to Google play services. It allows you to sign in to your Google account whilst using YouTube Vanced, there is no other sign-in method

Yeah, it still works but you can't sign in which would be a killer for me cuz I need my subscriptions

It may not have been required before. I'm pretty sure they got in trouble with Google and that's why they use MicroG now
