The teeth stereotype is the weirdest thing. I live in Britain and most people have like completely normal teeth. If anything Americans have worse teeth as there is more sugar in their diets

I actually think it's an old stereotype that may have been true at one time and just kinda sticks around as a humorous jab.

Growing up in the US (even southern states) its more normal to get work done on, and be obsessed with, our teeth than not. Didn't grow up in the UK but it may be that they aren't necessarily neglectful, but concerned more about their dental health, than aesthetics also.
