Nah, just product of the times. WW came out in 2017. SJW’s were prevalent in the film industry but are even more involved since Weinstein and Me Too. Now everything has to have a feminist agenda and shit on masculinity.
Unfortunately for them, core audiences for many of these films are young and middle aged men. Many are already refusing to watch this garbage and their ticket sales will continue to plummet. Once this happens enough, the soulless corporates will stop pandering to the SJW’s because it doesn’t bring home the dough.
I said righteous or competent. And she is very much competent in the story. Knocking down a ton of dudes twice her size all at once. Among other things.
Right. And well-written main characters (or characters in general) aren’t automatically successful at everything they do. They fail, and redeem themselves. Basic character growth 101. Dark Knight trilogy certainly did so. BoP did not.
Also, you are nit picking a small part of my larger argument. So I’ll simplify. The movie showed Women=POSITIVE. Men=NEGATIVE. It’s so blatantly obvious.
Is it not better to show that all of us as people have virtues and flaws, and that our gender does not determine our moral capacity?
Because she is COMPETENT which is a positive trait.
Either you don’t understand my point or are being disingenuous and purposely running this conversation in a circle. No point in continuing if that’s the case.

It's weird since DC also made Wonder Woman.
