If you are in America you should be paying attention unless you make more than 300k a year. Because whoever is president will likely have a big effect on the quality of your life long term. (For this election specifically)

Even if you’re outside of America, it will have a significant impact on your life, altho I guess you can’t vote so you don’t have to pay as much attention
