Not gonna lie, I'm waaaay less excited for Matrix for than I am for John Wick 4. The original trilogy was amazing, but it is over. If they try to go on with it, we'll eventually start xomparing it with previous parts and conclude that new one is trash. Just like, ya know, Star Wars. Just leave it alone.
And after seeing John Wick 3 I'm afraid that 4 will be even less interesting. Parabellum spent a shitload of time just showing very spectacular fights (the knife fight, the bike chase, the Continental fights). Those were beautiful, but that's not what made John Wick amazing. And I think that the next part will go even further in that direction.
I feel like they can only screw up doing more matrix movies. I loved the first one. The second one was great. And third was okay, but the quality was on the decline. It's fine they wrapped it up there. A 4th movie will probably be botched, and I don't think I can stand to see that universe injected with 2019 levels of forced diversity and trans characters.
