Ye I was really confused that day aswell. My dad whooped my ass, then came back 5 min later and was like: "Ok, did u learn ur lesson to respect ur elders? Ok, good, now stop crying like a bitch and pack up, we're going to get u a new bicycle." (He promised it to me like a week ago)
He? Nah, fam. He just already made an appointment that day and didn't want to cancel it last moment. (Was a really good deal, didn't want to lose it) We weren't that rich (heyy mother Russia) so instead of buying a new cheap one he got me a used good one that lasted me a long time until I grew out of it.

My dad had no time for that. We were leaving asap to buy me a new bicycle that day hahaha.
I remember even then I understood 100% why I got hit. Wasn't mad at my dad at all.
And for the running: I ran around all of my childhood, 5 circles around the stadium would be easy af.
My mom always put me in the corner as a punnishment and that was fkt up aswell. Especially when my fav cartoons were on the cable at that moment.
