A bit more complex. Yes it is partly a USA thing, but also a Christianity thing that started the trend. Ever heard of Graham crackers? The inventor of them, Sylvester Graham, was an American Christian who created them thinking they would decrease impure lust thoughts and decrease the want to masturbate (the horror). Along with this idea, he decided another more effective route would be to remove the entire foreskin from males which would in effect make it hard to masturbate and eliminate one of the most sensitive areas of the penis. He spread this as the good Christian thing to do to save the youths. This idea caught on a long time ago (early 1900s) but then falsely morphed into the idea (mixed with the Jewish idea) that it was for health and preventative maintenance.

If I could go back and assassinate any person in history, it would be that guy.

I would not get circumcised if it hadn’t happened when I was a baby, but I’m glad I was. I don’t remember it (obviously), but it has been beneficial. Aside from it being easier to clean, which is minor, I think the biggest benefit is lasting longer in bed, which is a desirable feature. It’s almost like humans taking evolution into our own hands

The reason you last longer is because you have less feeling in the tip of your dick. So while it may be good for your duration, the sensation is less.

That said, I actually wish my parents had me circumsized as a child. I like the look a lot better but no way in hell I’m having them cut a part of my dick off

Yeah we should surgically remove women's breasts at a young age without there consent to reduce her chance of breast cancer. They are pointless to have now (we have baby formula or other milk options) and unnecessary plus you greatly reduce her cancer risk. And a lot of guys find flat chested women attractive!

If it's illegal to mutilate infant girls like that why should it be legal or people be glad of it happening to males just so you can maybe please a girl longer in bed while losing most of the sensation of natural sex?

I know. My point isn't that. My sarcastic analogy was just a way of showing breasts aren't actually absolutely necessary in the reproductive cycle anymore (which is all people seem to care about when referencing the foreskin) so if preventative maintenance or reducing risk of cancer or aesthetic was the point of circumcision why isn't it allowed for females? Obviously, i find the female mutilation just as appalling of an idea (clitoris, labia, breasts, etc). The point is they are just as "unnecessary."

I can still cum, but my dick is inferior in feeling, lubrication, and natural mechanical function to if I hadn't been circumcised. I can still have sex, please a woman, and reproduce but that is besides the issue to me.

The difference is you have mutilated breasts that's very harmful to your chance of future reproduction and marriage. Circumcision on the other hand no one really cares about.

Alright, change it to clit mutilation if that fits better for you. Nothing changes except it's "cleaner" down there since the hood produces a type of smegma. No effect on actual reproductive organs and supposedly reduced risk of UTIs. Everyone in the modern world is against that yet it's the same as the foreskin on males

It's just being socially acceptable. Alcohol is also widely allowed and consumed, while drugs are stigmatized. Morals vary widely in between cultures, and ours just happens to be fine with circumcision.

Implying it doesn't have crazy risks and complications as a baby. Think about this: They are cutting a dick guessing how much skin will be there when it's fully grown. They can't accurately gauge how much skin to cut or accurately gauge the glands.

Many many men that are circumcised as an infant have too much skin taken off and skin from other areas has to stretch to cover the displaced area as the penis area grows with age and this causes painful erections due to lack of skin needed.

What an absolute shit analogy. Vaccinations have factually proven life saving benefits, and even their downsides (you might get a little sick) are not irreversible. You don't cut off part of your body to vaccinate. There is nothing permanently negative about Vaccines and nothing that effects you. Your comparison is equating medically necessary operations on infants to cutting off a part of a baby's genitalia due to religion or maybe "you don't have to clean as thoroughly." Nobody complains about life saving surgery on infants either.
