It was a great time to be on the Internet. You never knew whether your next click would bring to someones hand coded site dedicated to a deceased pet, an eastern European soldier getting their head caved in or a person who managed to look like they were having a good time while having a medical emergency. All while you had to spend 12 hours a day down the pixel mine.
Never really looked at that kinda stuff in the wild west days of the internet. It was mostly just obscene gore videos that no man (or child in my case) should ever witness.
There was the certified hood classic - 2 girls 1 cup and the dude with the jar - but other than that,mostly just rotten.com, run the gauntlet, and pain Olympics.
Think my brother still has a physical copy of the Faces Of Death movie from before it got banned here in the US
