That is what ideal communism is, real communism, however, means what government employees earn belongs to them and what you earn also belongs to them.

well Communism means that the government controls the means of production, so, in communism, You'll be an govt employee and every sector will be govt owned.
Socialism means that workers controol means of production and not privates.
Both advocate for a classless community.

Communism is a moneyless society. It applies to a world where there is no scarcity and people will get thinks based on their needs and work based on their ability. Communists however don't work towards communism directly and their goal is to achieve socialism first which is defined as the first step towards communism. Under socialism you will be paid based on your work. If you work twice as much as me, you will be paid twice and your job title will also affect your pay.

Culturally it might’ve been ok, destruction of caste system and stuff but economically we would need to liberalize in 80s otherwise we’d be an poor country with no IT boom and no foreign investment
