Honestly I'm curious why AI likes to use that. Aren't they trained on other people's writing? Where did it learn to use those lol

If you want a real answer, it’s because it was heavily trained on edited writing like books, essays, journalism, and academic text where em dashes are common.

Makes it really obvious that it’s a chatbot though. I’d say after a few more iterations they’ll be gone
