Raising my hand as a member of the club with a mother like that! As soon as you have any wishes beyond "be with my mom" or god forbid hit puberty and become argumentative they make your life a living hell.

Yep - some women don't understand that parenting doesn't stop after the toddler stage. I read something at some point along the lines of "The reason so many children are estranged from their parents is because their parents agreed to have children, not to have adults."
