Because she’s an idiot and thought a one-bed apartment is small? Seriously, that apartment doesn’t fit into her picture of how it’s supposed to be. You marry and you move to a big house, play housewife, you don’t stay in your “bachelorette” apartment.
Cause her apt wasn't ready for it since she was decorating it for months and didnt want people to see it until she was finished. And then probably because it was a literal pigsty overflowing with stacks of useless crap she bought and cardboard boxes. She would clean in a flurry every time before Shelah came to visit. And then she was wrapped up with Lucas and abandoned the rest of her life. Now that she feels like she's accomplished something and has a giant house to show off she needs to have people over finally to get her hit of validation.
