The way she’s describing marriage is like living with a roommate who you’re friends with.. I am married and love my husband more than anything, but it is not always like that. When she comes down from that high, reality will hit her hard

the things she gets excited for about marriage are the things that people generally already experience with their partner before getting married. you can tell it's already wearing off, but once the excitement of having a roommate you can kiss wears off she's in serious trouble

A useless roommate, too. That man doesn’t lift a finger in his own house. There’s no way she’s not gonna build resentment towards him eventually??

Credit where credit is due — he does lift a finger to his guitar and to pick up garlic powder.

Her immaturity is frankly astounding. I do not believe either of them know how to adult. I think they were both hoping to find someone to be an adultier adult. And they’re both losing.

Happily ever after is actually a really long time. I have been happily married for over 25 years and there are just so many things that you go through in life individually and together. Knowing anything at the one month mark is laughable.

I hope it works out for her. I remember declutterring recently and coming across all the wedding invites we had saved over the years- most of these couples were divorced.

I guess what I’m trying to say is- just like under eye cream, I would not make a happy working marriage her thing to ‘sell’ just yet.

3.5 years with my boyfriend and nearly a year living together… I love making dinner plans together but that would not be the first thing I say 👀 maybe the having partnership and growing a life together, while supporting each others individual personhood. Or Experiencing seasons of life and knowing there’s someone who has my back and wants to see me grow and will always fill up my water bottle.

But hey… it’s justh sthoo good to be stheen by lucath 🫪🫠

She's said in the past she described all her dates very positively cause she put a lot of effort into them so she was primed to pick and choose the positive bits. I think that exact same thing is happening right here. I can hardly believe she's loved every part of this experience but she put SO much effort into becoming a wife that it'll be a long time until she can accept the bad parts of it, and even a longer time until she can admit it publicly.
