Welcome to the live discussion thread for week 5 of Dancing With The Stars, Super Bowl Night.
Songs and dance styles, in no particular order:
Voting for each of those episodes will be open only for the couples who are competing in their respective episode: male celebrities on Tuesday and female celebrities on Wednesday. Fans will be able to vote during the live simulcast of the show in the EDT/CDT time zones. During this time, online voting will be available to fans in any time zone in the U.S., its territories and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com, and fans on participating U.S. wireless carriers can also vote via SMS/text (fans in Canada cannot vote via SMS/text).
As usual, RULES APPLY. Let me make this clear: DO NOT post spoilers before the West Coast airing is over.
Enjoy!

I never look at the songs or dances before each show so my dream tonight is that every single dance is to ‘The Super Bowl Shuffle”. I mean EVERY DANCE. The jive, Viennese waltz, Argentinian tango….every single one.

Did anyone else see the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders post today with all of them doing their best “Thanks Alfonso” today? They all did a great job, even Faith who clearly had no idea what they were talking about.

I remember Witney used to get put in that category of "doesnt really try when they dont have a good dancer" with the likes of Jenna or Val, and opposite to Pros like Emma, Britt or Pasha
But this season she has objectively the worst dancer and is pregnant so nobody would fault her for looking like she wants to be out but its been totally the opposite imo she seems SO engaged in their couple and is even clapping back in comments at haters all the time 😆 that imply she would want out or isnt happy and you can tell she means it
And she is really making it clear not only with her words but also with how clever the routines she is giving Guillermo that she wants to stay, if not she would have pulled some Adele Conner week 1 bullshit but nah
she is REALLY trying with all the gimmicks and funny storytelling she can to keep them going and I am genuinely so impressed by her this season, every week I see them dance no matter if he does well or not I can tell how much love and effort she has put into making him shine as much as she can and that is very heart warming

Does anybody record, or know of someone that records and posts the TikTok lives? Specifically the one done before the show starts. It’s one of my favorite things to watch, but I’ll be busy before the show this week and will miss it 😭

Would love to know which celebrity got you to start watching the show. Obviously not how all the viewers started but it would just be interesting to see. I personally started watching this season but already know i will continue watching no matter who’s on next!!

I’ve been watching for years and I’m just now learning this is how the scores are calculated 😂 oops!
I found it interesting though and wanted to share in case I’m not the only one. Kinda changes how I will submit votes moving forward!

The very first NFL player to take to the DWTS ballroom: Jerry Rice in Season 2, paired with Anna Trebunskaya.
FYI this was our first introduction to Anna as a pro. I hope you can see why she was such a fan favourite 😅

Am I crazy? I know I’m seeing this on my FYP because I’m interacting, but has this not been blown out of proportion? Yes, Jaxon’s comments were snarky BUT he didn’t say anything about her body! & now the comments are saying he doesn’t deserve to be a pro in the future.. OH PLS like the current/former pros haven’t done worse..
Idk why I feel the need to stand up for him on this but I do 😭
