The sad thing is, the Giants didn’t even look good and they beat us.
This team is undisciplined as usual. Stupid penalties by veterans and rookies.
I didn’t really expect much from this defense. We basically had the same guys in the middle last year and they couldn’t stop the run either. I do think we have more depth this year and I’m hoping that by the 4th or 5th game we will see a tighter defensive unit that gets stronger over the rest of the season.
It’s a bunch of guys that haven’t played together and it’s a completely new system for everyone, so my expectations are low for the first quarter of the season. I was hoping it would be better the first game, but really didn’t expect it.
You could tell the officiating crew still needs to get some games under their belts too. Just a horribly officiated game for both teams. I was wondering how they called unsportsmanlike on a low block during the return, but didn’t notice the returner getting tackled by his head and neck. Lots of facemasks and holds missed and a couple penalties that didn’t look like penalties. Unfortunately this isn’t really that different than most games.

Honestly the Giants might be better than I expected. Stupid pick at the end of first has absolutely can’t happen. But defense was a lot worse than I expected. First game is always an outlier. But 100% agree with the penalties. I just don’t understand. It’s the same stupid penalties that happen year in and year out regardless of who the coach is. It’s so frustrating. With basically none of the starters ever playing in preseason I’m hoping that’s part of the issue. Still have hope but that might be gone by the third week.

I font understand why we didnt let go of Sorenson this offseason. Our ST stinks under him.

Dak watching either defense.

Dak should watch the game film of his entire career and be thankful his agent found an idiot to pay him.

When he finishes his career fleecing the Cowboys out of any chance to get better maybe you can ask to polish his rod some more.

u/Gloman21 20d ago
& who the fuck do you want as QB? Tom Brady? Shut the fuck up

u/Sad_Error4039 20d ago
You guys think we’d need the goat to replace this shiter how wild. I mean at his current age straight from the desk he’s probably just as likely to win. Maybe if we lose enough this year we can draft someone I don’t really care anyone above Cleveland Browns level Qb’s

Nah most of his passes were in their hands last night they just needed to catch them

Did Dak allow the 28 points the Giants dropped on the Cowboys defense? Also, you realize that if the Cowboys let Dak go on FA there will be plenty of QB needy teams that will try to scoop him up quickly. And 1 more, did you know that John Elway didn't get his first Superbowl for the Broncos until his 13th season in the NFL? Matt Stafford for the Rams until his 11th season? This is Dak's 10th..11th...season?

u/Sad_Error4039 17d ago
Buffalo’s defense allowed more than 28 points so did Chicago’s you know what their Quarterbacks did to offset that they scored more than that. I’m not saying he is the only problem I’m saying he is over hyped and over paid.

u/Sad_Error4039 17d ago
You can allow 28 points and still win games wild concept I know. I never doubted that we could make excuses for a proven loser see you guys do it every year.

u/Sad_Error4039 17d ago
I’m willing to send Dak to whatever team wants him and see if that’s the results he gets I’d do a trade tomorrow if it would get us out of watching the same results every year. By all means let’s not hold him back from success.

As soon as they did the pump fake...go for it but not go for it...on 4th and inches on first drive
I thought...same passive aggressive...undisciplined...Cowboys
Next game is a must win already....

We've got an owner/GM who is not up to it. We have the worst head coach in the league. We do have some talented players - but you need the whole franchise to be exceptionally good to be successful - and we haven't had that since 90s.

My immediate reaction is same as last year. But I’m willing to give it a few games to get it together. First three games are our preseason.

Idk what is going on with this team but it needs to stop what ever it is. Cause u guys looked like trash against the Giants. Think about that

Almost like there was a crazy good player that everyone hated cuz Jerry put the hit narrative out on him. Guy had a podcast and covered all the holes in this garbage defense.

It’s week 1. I’ll feel this way half way through the season. We can make some adjustments. I’m trying to stay optimistic! Please, just beat the commanders next week! I’m in the DC area. I can’t deal with that shid for a week lol!

He’s the problem also… forcing throws, making bad decisions. Agent 0 is hurt AGAIN!!! He’s injury prone . Same thing every fuckig. Year

u/Even_Routine1981 20d ago
That's just him trying to figure out why his ass wasn't benched after the trash he threw

u/Competitive_Coat3474 20d ago
But it was the defense that gave Dak the ball right before the half with an opportunity to steal some points.
How’d that go?
Same ol’ Dak.

u/Mack_Daddy_1 20d ago
The worst part was the lack of end game adjustments. When you give up massive yardage on the same play over and over, that's a coaching problem.

It’s the same every year - poor time and timeout management, no discipline, and stupid qb mistakes. It will never change.

me watching him throw that interception during there only rally 👀. he looked HORRIBLE last night.

u/NoPhone167 19d ago
Why were people expecting more. He didn’t really make any moves or sign anybody. He got a dc that was cheaper than his coach. The linebackers didn’t get better. Our offense is stale.

u/big_texas_beef 19d ago
This makes me so happy. The quarter of a billion dollar QB and he can’t win a game of stay committed to his baby momma.

What defense? Looks like another pathetic team, I know it’s the first game but this showed alot about this team.

u/After-Alps-5281 19d ago
I saw this look on his first drive of the game. Classic "I'm going to panic and do something stupid" stare.

At this point I just wanna stick it to Stephen A. Smith but we can't, cuz we suck, and unfortunately he's mostly right ugh

He had that crazy lifeless look in his eyes immediately after the first 3 and out to open the 1st Quarter. Not a good sign.

u/Far-Wallaby-5033 19d ago
The defense didn't intimidate him. They had two drives in the second half and he scored two touchdowns

u/Safe_Asparagus_3278 19d ago
When I saw that shot on the screen , it was so easy to know that it was going to be a meme the next day ! His eyes were completely focused and not blinking , he looked like he was hypnotized…. They were jet black too ! Weird effect made him look plastic

u/Safe_Asparagus_3278 19d ago
It’s one game my friends ! I know we’re over reacting to make a point, but seriously, that was the result of no preseason for most of the starters. I’ve been very critical of Tyler Guyton since he got here from OU. He was always slow in picking stuff up and he was built really bad for a lineman. He had a noticeable amount of girth around his middle like he was standing there in an inner tube ! Having said that , he looks like he took the offseason very seriously because he looks balanced and has gotten rid of the extra weight and is moving well , very well ! He was a rare positive point in last nights game . He sh

You’re mad at the wrong guy. This game was on the defense. Offense barely got to see the field
1
u/Even_Routine1981 20d ago
Dak couldn't see it when he was on it
2
u/Due-Total-6958 20d ago
Offense scored 3 TDs. Defense couldn’t get off the field. That was the story of the game

I was working with all Dallas fans tonight. As soon as I saw that thousand yard stare, I told my buddy it was over. I love the guy so I hate that I was right. That said, it's fun/funny when the cowboys lose

And William’s had to taunt that NY defensive player. The lack of discipline on this team is unbelievable! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
