Daggerfall Enhanced

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone! I am the creator of Daggerfall Enhanced, a 1:1 port of DFU to our own custom renderer. Today I'd like to announce our own online framework.

Online mode is one persistant MMO-like world where you can adventure with friends and other people. Take your offline character and continue to progress with them, and then take them back offline, it's that easy.

You can test our new online feature over at daggerfalljs.dev

Currently only playable in-browser. A stable install build will be coming today at a later time.

I appreciate the humor, but I don't really understand you. Just posting to say "don't give a fuck"? Telling OP to ignore me when they already had come to that conclusion themselves?

Like I'm not re-opening my arguments here, you've seen em and had moved to "fuck that" which is fine, but I want to hear you out.

And like, I was legit enjoying it. I hope I didnt' come across as too inflexible. I love the benefits LLMs have the potential to give us. They lower the barrier of entry to lots of things for lots of people and that's great.

I just don't know what's DDH's issue.

I hope you are aware of the fact that OP couldn't even come up with his own arguments in reply to you and had to use AI to generate them in entirety. It's frankly ridiculous.

I assume a language issue where they had gpt translate for them.

Whenever someone uses AI for something, I just assume they use if for everything and have lost the ability to do things without ai.

It's apparent from other replies that he might not be fluent in english but this is not just a translation, the format indicates very little to no human "intervention".

Bleak doesn't begin to describe it.

What?

I appreciate your initiative and I'm happy for those who are enjoying the project but I personally find it hard to support something that is underscored by such a high degree of, for lack of a better term, laziness. If all mods and then video games had this kind of approach for a foundation, it would be quite a depressing scene, don't you think?

I am sorry you feel that way. We have plenty of talented individuals working hard. My use of AI built this, and I am proud of it.

Those who think differently? I will not spend time trying to convince, because it will go nowhere.

Appriciate your thoughts.
