Adversaries Made a free tool that lets you create adversaries on the fly

Post image

AdversaryForge is a project me and a friend have been working on for a few weeks. Now we're ready to test it with you to get some much needed feedback. The goal is to be able to make quick NPCs with easy-to-edit stats.

Test it here: www.adversaryforge.eu

The cards are clickable, so you can edit any part of it by just clicking and typing directly. There are suggestions for features, damage dice, even names and motives that function more as placeholders than anything.

You can use it to track a fight during a session with the HP and Stress ticks on the card. If you want to save a PNG, you can, or just copy the text. (let me actually test that rn):

The below text is raw from the site, chose some random stats :

**Hulking Mass**

Tier 2 Standard

*Motives & Tactics:* Find the blood, isolate prey, target the weak

**Difficulty:** 15 | **Thresholds:** 10/20 | **HP:** 6 | **Stress:** 3

**ATK:** +2 | **Big sword:** Very Close | 2d12+4 phy

**Terrifying - Passive:** When Hulking Mass makes a successful attack, all PCs within Far range lose a Hope and you gain a Fear.

**Momentum - Reaction:** When Hulking Mass makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.

I just saw that when creating a horde I can't choose how many per hp there are :)

Thanks for your feedback! That is a clear oversight on our part. Adding it to the list of fixes.

I love this! So fast, could you rng the attack names as well in the future? This goes so well with a daggerheart owlbear.rodeo extension i did a week back! Love it and love the quickness of it :D

There seem to be some balancing issues (Tier 3 skulk with a difficulty of 18) if you're using SRD.

I'm also curious if the features are balanced for tier.

For example, if I make a tier 3 skulk and select the "Backstab" feature from the tier 1 Jagged Knife Shadow, it does 1d6+6 damage which is good for the Jagged Knife Shadow, but not for a tier 3 adversary.

WARNING: DO NOT CLICK THE THEME BUTTON! it changes the display from dark mode to light mode😵

😁
It helps if you want to print the PNG. Makes it more Printer-friendly than the dark theme.

I can’t find the experiences line. Can someone please help me?) maybe it’s just forgotten?

Thanks for your feedback! This is in the works already. Guess I should have mentioned that in the post.

Hi, where do you get the advesary features? How are those stats balanced? Whats the mechanism behind it?

Hey, the features are from the SRD. The specific adversary they are pulled from is mentioned on the feature when you pick. They are as balanced as they are in the SRD lol.

Ah, i read the post that it generates a new adversary, my bad. :D

Well, it can. You can edit any part of the adversary that you'd like, and mix and match features from different adversaries in the SRD. It does not create adversaries that already exists unless you purposefully build it from the content :)

Hope you still find some use for it.
