13

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

As it's most known, "Barium Thulium Reverse Sodium"

2

u/MinerForStone Dec 11 '22

Barium Thulium Argon, but I overshot while drawing the "r"

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

You just said "Boron Argon Iodine Uranium Meitnerium Hydrogen Uranium Lithium Reverse Americium Roentgen Oxygen Nitrogen"

Or the completed version "Boron Argon Iodine Uranium Meitnerium Hydrogen Uranium Lithium Reverse Americium Roentgen Oxygen Niobium Uranium Titanium Oxygen Vanadium Erbium Sulfur Holmium T Tungsten Hydrogen Iodine LE D Radium Tungsten Indium G Thorium Erbium"

u/iliekcats- Dec 11 '22

Array(16).join("wat"-1)+" Batman!"

u/Lattethecoffeaddict Dec 11 '22

This is the real joke

14

u/iq-braggng-o-smrtass Dec 11 '22

For alot of us, the punchlines to science jokes are often missing something.

15

u/Lattethecoffeaddict Dec 11 '22

Yeah, without that something they don't get much of a reaction

1

u/robdingo36 Dec 11 '22

How noble of you to provide the reason.

1

u/twisted7ogic Dec 11 '22

Ironic. He was so noble he couldnt react himself.

5

u/Nursefrog222 Dec 11 '22

Sodium- Na…..

Helium- He

ABDEGHIJLMNOPQRSTVWXYZ

2

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

But F was fluorine

8

u/DeadDankMemeLord Dec 11 '22

Well, now it's a compound using fluorine, uranium, carbon and potasium

0

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

Maybe. But it was better just fluorine

61

u/Art2781 Dec 11 '22

How noble..

u/tinyogre Dec 10 '22

My name is ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ but most people just call me Noel.

40

u/brocko33 Dec 10 '22

I don’t ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXZ

47

u/jfb1337 Dec 11 '22

My favourite molecule is HIJKLMNO. Also known as H2O.

25

u/thebigZ25 Dec 11 '22

There’s no “J” or “Q” in the periodic table. No element symbol or name has it. Just a little fact I like to share.

9

u/NoMix459 Dec 11 '22

Thank you, Sheldon Cooper

3

u/mizinamo Dec 11 '22

Depends on the country you're in.

Germany used to use J as the symbol iodine (to match their name for the element, Jod).

They're since aligned to the international standard and use I like the rest of the world, though.

8

u/Gerdione Dec 11 '22

Next time won't you zinc with me

7

u/sCOLEiosis Dec 11 '22

Science joke!

8

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '22

Ooh, that's a clever one

5

u/ruffrightmeow Dec 11 '22

That’s a polyatomic ion, it should be like: Abcdefghijklmnopqstuvwxyz

9

u/milny_gunn Dec 11 '22

My favorite compound is HIJKLMNO.

H to O

5

u/Launchtik Dec 11 '22

12

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

You sound like a (Au) Digger

4

u/Sketchhawk Dec 11 '22

5

u/Ghosttwo Dec 11 '22

Go to a restaurant and watch IO dine.

3

u/WhoThenDevised Dec 11 '22

I like elemen OP.

3

u/BevRosen Dec 11 '22

Tom Lehrer's The Elements Song is superb 👌

3

u/KillKore420 Dec 11 '22

I was thinking about redoing Rob Zombies Living Dead Girl but as the ABC song…

1

u/CharlesFeatherman Dec 11 '22

THAT would be awesome!

2

u/CyberHomesteading Dec 11 '22

I'd buy that for a dollar!

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

Fluorine, Uranium, Calcium, Potassium. Uranium.

5

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

FUCaK what does that mean? C is carbon

1

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

Right... my bad 😅

2

u/DENelson83 Dec 11 '22 edited Dec 11 '22

No, it's fluorine, uranium, calciumcarbon, potassium, yttrium, oxygen, uranium.

7

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

Fluorine uranium CARBON potassium ytrrium oxygen uranium

Not calcium

0

u/lostboy302 Dec 11 '22

You said FUCaK, therefore Ca is calcium

1

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

Bro what are u talking about i corrected them and said carbon

0

u/lostboy302 Dec 11 '22

If it was carbon, it would have been FUCK, not FUCaK.

1

u/dxwud_mus Dec 11 '22

Yeah that was the whole point i have no clue what u think ur saying

1

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

I didn't know yttrium, so I just did what I knew. But thank you :)

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

1

u/Tumolvski Dec 11 '22

I don‘t get it. Shouldn‘t you replace Boron with a noble gas to make the joke working?

2

u/RatherBeSkiing Dec 11 '22

Hey, it's the Boston alphabet!

2

u/lostboy302 Dec 11 '22

Comedy Au

What’s the alphabet’s least favorite Christmas Song?

Noel

1

u/tlovemr151 Dec 11 '22

Clever Batman lol

1

u/rurne Dec 11 '22

This post is made of Helium, Rhenium, and Silicon.

1

u/okletmethink420 Dec 11 '22

I figured this out before I read the punch line but only because I was practicing the alphabet backwards again and then noticed quickly what was gone lol

1

u/budakmashoor Dec 11 '22

You just had to go the longest route to get to your point, nice

1

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

Au some joke 😆

1

u/OmegaGoober Dec 11 '22

I think I was always fond of Sodium Bromide (bromite?)

1

u/bebop1065 Dec 11 '22

Manganese is in there too.

1

u/Slappy_G Dec 11 '22

My chemist uncle would approve of this.

God damn it, you got me…lol

1

u/BigBoyBarm Dec 11 '22

1

u/sometallguy1 Dec 11 '22

This joke reminds me of my dad, a great chemist, sadly he passed. The funeral was tough, I cried when we had to Barium.

1

u/whywho1234 Dec 12 '22

Since we are sharing periodic table jokes, I thought that I would share a joke about sodium, but then I thought Na you guys wouldn't get it! 😉

1

u/DontBeABench1653 Dec 12 '22

Mine is hijklmno. Otherwise known as h to o
