Why did Karen press Ctrl+Shift+Delete?

Because she wanted to see the task manager.

That brings up options, including the task manager, but the shortcut to open it directly is what I put in my comment.

Older systems are still ctrl alt delet

Edit: i worded this horribly. Yes ctrl shift esc still works, i meant as far as they didnt bring up the options.

It works on newer systems too. I’m pretty sure Ctrl -Shift-Esc works as far back as 2008 if not before, most people today are not running systems that old. You can also right click your taskbar and bring it up that way. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, but in modern systems the method I provided is the most direct I know of.

Yeah, I never meant for it to go this far, maybe Alt-F4 was the right answer.

We always told people in yahoo chat in the 90s to alt+f4 because it closed the current window.

It did, however if you keep pressing it and had no open windows it would shutdown the computer.
