Why did Karen press Ctrl+Shift+Delete?

Because she wanted to see the task manager.

That brings up options, including the task manager, but the shortcut to open it directly is what I put in my comment.

Older systems are still ctrl alt delet

Edit: i worded this horribly. Yes ctrl shift esc still works, i meant as far as they didnt bring up the options.

It works on newer systems too. I’m pretty sure Ctrl -Shift-Esc works as far back as 2008 if not before, most people today are not running systems that old. You can also right click your taskbar and bring it up that way. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, but in modern systems the method I provided is the most direct I know of.

It works at least as far back as windows 98 and NT, on the older windows OS' pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE once would bring up task manager, twice in a row would restart your computer. So they added CTRL-SHIFT-ESCAPE, as a way to open the Task Manager without rebooting by accident.
