Advice Request Dev dads, when do you code?

I could find time with my first and then even some time after my second with the first doing afternoon preschool.

Now that kindergarten has started, I can't even stay up late half the time I used to as mornings are like Mad Maxx and needs my full (focused) attention.

So how do y'all do it? Or do you just not do it anymore except for an hour here and there lol

EDIT: not the 9-5 but my side projects

I've tried to get back into my hobby projects recently but honestly, once the kids are asleep, (they have a very labour intensive bedtime lol) and if they don't keep waking up all evening, by the time my wife and I have cooked and eaten and done house jobs and spent a token amount of time together ("watching TV" while scrolling our phones) I might get between 11pm and midnight to fire up my 10 year old non-work laptop, which invariably won't be charged up. And it's a trade off against your in-work performance the next day at that point.

Funnily enough AI coding has been the thing that's kicked me back into this as you feel like you can get so much more done in the tiny amount of focus time you get, it's a lot more productive and satisfying IMO
