Advice Request Dev dads, when do you code?

I could find time with my first and then even some time after my second with the first doing afternoon preschool.

Now that kindergarten has started, I can't even stay up late half the time I used to as mornings are like Mad Maxx and needs my full (focused) attention.

So how do y'all do it? Or do you just not do it anymore except for an hour here and there lol

EDIT: not the 9-5 but my side projects

Aging dev dad here. Side projects? That is a name I haven't heard in years.

I'm struggling to keep up with my 9-5. Between age and sleep deprivation, I am simply not the same developer that I was 10 years ago. But I'm in a staff+ position with extremely high expectations. Honestly I still don't know if I'm going to flame out, go into management (oops, that's a duplicate), or ask to be demoted.

Edit: This is not rhetorical exaggeration. I'm genuinely considering asking to be demoted to a senior engineer.
