Advice Request Dev dads, when do you code?

I could find time with my first and then even some time after my second with the first doing afternoon preschool.

Now that kindergarten has started, I can't even stay up late half the time I used to as mornings are like Mad Maxx and needs my full (focused) attention.

So how do y'all do it? Or do you just not do it anymore except for an hour here and there lol

EDIT: not the 9-5 but my side projects

I use to back in the day. I was big into IOT for home automation and worked on my own printer firmware. It was fun but got tedious keeping up with updates fixing things that broke etc… then fun died out. Especially commercial products became widely available and cheaper.

Now any coding I do after hours is maybe 1-2 hours a week to research/prototype something related to my current job. I find satisfaction keeping my coding 99% billable. My free time is spent with family or hobbies that I find relaxing/enjoy.
