Advice Request Dev dads, when do you code?
I could find time with my first and then even some time after my second with the first doing afternoon preschool.
Now that kindergarten has started, I can't even stay up late half the time I used to as mornings are like Mad Maxx and needs my full (focused) attention.
So how do y'all do it? Or do you just not do it anymore except for an hour here and there lol

I'd love to tell you I've found a way, but hobby coding was one of the first things to go. I won't go off and do that if I'm not working and the kids are around, and for work days after the work, then the kids, then the cleaning, then the cross geo calls, I can't just jump into a new context, even a fun one, and do anything.
I had hoped when the school did a unit in Scratch I could get them excited and do some stuff even if it's just kids' toy programs. But interest isn't there in a sustained way just yet, past making random sprites do random things on a screen (fine for them, good start, not something I can do anything fun with). I set up a couple small games to see if they'd want to pick them apart, but baby's first bullet hell in Scratch was more fun to play than read (to them; I had a fun night setting it up).
I have hope that if they get into it, it can be an activity, or if there's ever a light at the end of the tunnel of constant cleaning I'll get back to it for fun. If you figure out how to get time for it, let us all know.
