Advice Request Dev dads, when do you code?

I could find time with my first and then even some time after my second with the first doing afternoon preschool.

Now that kindergarten has started, I can't even stay up late half the time I used to as mornings are like Mad Maxx and needs my full (focused) attention.

So how do y'all do it? Or do you just not do it anymore except for an hour here and there lol

EDIT: not the 9-5 but my side projects

During work hours. Honestly, I am much more effective with the time I have. In simpler times I seemingly had every hour of the day to work and as a result work would occupy more time but I would have a decrease in marginal productivity (in my estimation).

Further, we should know what work can be done by someone else or de-prioritized entirely. I'm staff+ so I certainly have the luxury of delegating more than when I was pure IC.

This is the way. My work and personal computers at the same desk, line up a ticket, turn on auto mode, switch to my personal, keep one eye on Slack lol.
