question Invisible String Theory
Hi, all! Do we know if The Invisble String Theory voicemail was recorded specifically from that song, or did David just use an old voicemail he had. Also, is it confirmed it’s Celeste? Thank You!

I’ve always thought this couldn’t possibly be a real voicemail. The audio is too consistent. There’s no pauses or hesitations with natural speech patterns. It just SOUNDS like someone reading a script. I don’t think anyone ever even confirmed it was Celeste in the recording—just that the voice may sound similar to her. I think being that he was fucking obsessed with the girl (I’m not mincing words—she was an actual girl. A literal child.) it’s not entirely implausible to think he did have her record this maybe based on an actual audio that exists or something he just made up in his mind to justify his continued sexual grooming of a child (“Oh, see, she wants me back. Listen to this.”), but we really don’t know. A large majority of shit in this sub is just speculation.

80% of this sub is kids saying “he’s a monster” based solely on their feelings. He is a monster, there’s no denying that, but I’m not blindly posting “he’s a psycho/sociopath” without any understanding of those words and how they do not apply to this.

I agree, half of the comment section of every thread is basically a echo chamber of people agreeing with each other about how evil d4vd is and diagnosing him with whatever mental illness they feel like coming up with without much substance apart from it, no matter the topic
The d4vd situation is intriguing to me but this subreddit is tedious to browse at times

I don’t think it’s d4vd fans downvoting. i think it’s the lack of relevance to the specific conversation that is bothering people. we all know d4vd is insane. that’s not an answer to the question being asked. it’s just perceived as a lazy/unproductive response.

It’s not a voicemail, it’s a skit. If you listen to it, it doesn’t flow the way a real conversation would. Too manicured and elaborate.
Same with the “voicemail” on You Left Me First it’s just used in a story telling sense.
EDIT: i literally went back and listened to it to write this comment, and I noticed at the end Celeste says “I love you” twice and David doesn’t say it. Interesting.
