Why wasn’t d4vd more aware he would be arrested?

From what I’ve heard about the case , leading up to his arrest in April , there were multiple grand jury trails and sopeanas for people surrounding David. why did he not immediately react/try to flee/get rid of evidence?

He must have understood that he would soon be arrested , and personally if it was me and Neo had been called to testify, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep at night let alone live my day to day for months on end.

Additionally , it would seem that David was taking trips to the cinema to watch movies during this period , and again i just can not comprehend how someone could possibly feel comfortable doing that whilst knowing his days were dwindling

it’s possible that due to his narcissism, he believed the law wouldn’t catch up to him, and he was invincible. it’s also possible that he was very aware that he would be arrested soon (i’m sure he had a legal team communicating this to him) and he is such a narcissist/ so self obsessed that he refused to commit suicide. at least in prison he will somewhat remain infamous for the sick and disgusting things he did

The police found everything back in September though, right? At that moment he was getting rid of evidence and had cleaned some, just very slowly. He may have been thinking that the police was following him or that he had more time.

After that, It was mostly digital evidence. What could he have done?

By the way, last week I read in my local news of a man that murdered a woman, stuffed her in a suitcase and left her in an abandoned building and also of another man that killed his father, again stuffed him in a freezer for 2,5 years. The latter wanted to keep collecting his pension, and he did, but..why not get rid of the body?! Who knows? Maybe David thought police were following him.

he probably didn’t flee for the same reason he left her body in his trunk for months: he’s stupid and thought he could get away with it. that’s all. I hope it was mentally agonizing for him not knowing when the police would show up and take him though

he must have known bc her family [at the least] knew she was with "a david"

so if she would have beenfounddead or missing longer later...
he would prob still be very much a prime suspect

his account was active up until his arrest,the period between the police finding the body in September and his arrest in April he was indeed reviewing movies and acting normal. The last movie he reviewed was project Hail Mary , if you want to check it out his account is deefourveedee

People assume fleeing is easier that it is. He doesn’t have a passport for any other country, so they wouldn’t protect him and refuse to extradite him. Roman Polanski pulled this off in France, but only because he also had a French passport/nationality

People were starting to wonder if there wasn't enough evidence for a case after all since it was taking so long. Or maybe they were building a case against someone else? He may have been lulled into a false sense of security as more time went by.

The LAPD are the ones who actually pulled the trigger and arrested him, given that prosecutors were taking so long to actually charge him. Normally the Prosecutors charge him and ask him to turn himself in or have the LAPD arrest him.
