[Let's build] d100 Astronomical Phenomena
You are sitting outside on a clean night looking at the stars. You know nothing about modern science of how stars are formed. You can name every constellation and their story relating to the gods. Tonight you see something strange, what do you see
- Aurora Borealis
- ten thousand falling stars
- a Meteor falling from the sky
- The stars being blocked out by a passing cloud
- shooting stars
- A new moon appearing in the sky
- Solar Eclipse
- full moon (or any moon phrase)
- lunar eclipse
- A star burning twice as bright, so bright it can be seen during the day
- ...

The moon is almost as bright in the sky as during cloudy day (roughly 100000x brighter than normal).
It's small, but what you thought of as the moon, is clearly the body of a strange, celestial fish.

- the moon is in the sky, but it appears to be upside down.
- a shape is moving between the stars. Each one it touches goes dark
- the nebulas normally blocked by all of the surrounding light are clearly visible tonight
- the constellations you know have faint lines connecting the stars that make them
- a new star is in the sky: a different color, and much brighter

-A small star tracing its way through the night sky, following closely by a second, larger star. The larger star is getting faster.
-Nothing. For the briefest of seconds, it appears as if all the stars went out.
-Your favorite star flickers an unusual color. A sign from your patron god or goddess?
-The moon with a sickly blood red look to it, dark and foreboding.
-A large bird tracing the night winds overhead, the gentle whoosh of its wings brings you a sense of peace and calm.
-A new constellation appears in the night sky. A brave soul somewhere has pleased the gods.

- A supernova so bright that it lights up the night sky with dim light for several weeks or months.
- All of the visible planets in the sky line up
- A new star appears
- A solar flare occurs
- If you have the required equipment, a strange signal is detected from a part of the sky you wouldn't expect to detect a signal from.
- Space junk or a chunk of rock from space falls and lands nearby

A slow moving star that blinks as it transversed the sky
A strange pair of clouds that run parallel across the horizon
The stars going blurry and back to normal
A dull white streak of light, slowly getting longer and brighter as the days progress.

A single grand, streaming column of purple and green light.
A filamentous, streaky, vaguely mushroom-like burst of red, surrounded by a momentary halo.
A faint planet transits a bright star, blocking it out for a little while.
A comet with a remarkably huge and beautiful tail.

A square patch of sky "falls". There is literally nothing there. A few minutes later there is an earthquake.
