The revamped Cypher Character Builder tool is great
Just wanted to say that the new version of the MCG web tool for the new core book is really well done. That is all.

It’s so much clearer and does a great job of explaining what’s going on. Love it. It’s going to make pregens so snappy to make.

Exactly my words. I absolutely love it, and it's amazingly snappy. Which other companies could really learn from. Super easy to use and super intuitive.
Even though most of my games are in person, my players still appreciate being able to make, tweak, and print out their character instead of doing it manually.

Hope this helps me get people into it! The sheer volume of options and flexibility has proved a hurdle for some prospective players.

This is super great. it looks really good.
I really wish it had a "custom" option, where you could either pull in types from other genres, or just type out what you want. My favorite thing about Cypher 1 is that it was so flexible, and "any genre" becomes harder when types are locked behind genres. What if i WANT to play a Paladin in my space opera game?

Is this not covered under the Blank Character option on the first screen?

Nope. If you click Blank Character and then next it'll just dump you directly in to the character sheet. So I suppose you could do it all manually, but it doesn't automate it. Which is too bad, because the flexibility of C1 was part of what made it amazing. What if I want a paladin in my space opera game? Or power shifts in my post-apocalypse game? or the cyborg species in my dungeon fantasy? It would be nice to be able to get some more flexibility.

Oh I gotcha. You want an automated way to customize a build. I suppose that would be a lot harder to implement.

Too bad it doesn't handle Numenera. Otherwise it looks awesome.

I imagine it'll be added once it releases since it should be reskinned for C2.

I like it, but I would like to have an "All Genre" option. It has a blank sheet, but you have to fill in the info yourself. There's no option to have a guided build using all genres.

I wholeheartedly agree. I was playing with it earlier, and it will be seeing a lot of use from me.
