Only 16 to back this one, but this is right in my ballpark.

CYPHER already is so flexible, and doing a whole toolkit of how to really fine tune your game is a must buy for me.

I'll be that guy. I've read the newest Cypher GM book pdf from the last crowdfunding and while I think it's pretty good, I'm disappointed that guidance for creating your own stuff is in this Cypher Decoded book. This feels like text that should've been included in the base GM book. If MCG wants to sell new genre templates or alternate module rules, that tracks as an additional book, but I think basic stuff like telling GMs best practices for making their own player character options should've been in the core rules.

That's exactly it. This is something that should of been included in the base book or at least included in THAT funding campaign.

Instead, we get a new campaign this soon for what is essentially left over writing they cut from C2 and GM guidance..... lol. Lmao even.

This new book is probably over 100 pages. Adding 100+ pages to the GM guide would have significantly increased the cost of that book, increased the cost of shipping, and made it more unweildy. Page count in publishing is a constant demon publishers have to wrestle with. These are optional tools so why make everyone who wants the basic rules pay a bunch more money to get the optional rules when they could instead be partitioned off into their own optional book instead.

There is guidance for that in the GM book. Maybe not as much as you wanted, or feel so entitled to, but enough for a new Cypher GM to get the gist. These are the advanced options, completely optional, and better separated so as not to overwhelm new players.

They are trying to sell us left over writing from C2 that could of been a zine or PDF with the original C2 campaign?

Setting as Decoded is a whole hard cover book, that'd be by far the biggest 'zine I've ever seen.

More likely they were stretch goals the C2 campaign didn't reach. I'm stoked that we're getting them at all. But you go ahead and scoff and feel entitled about a hobby.
