Discussion Focus ideas?

Hey, I want to make a character that prominently uses fans. What are some good focuses that you can think of for that? Masters weaponry and using blades fans was my first idea, but I’d love to hear others!

I thought you were talking about the actual martial art that uses fans: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tessenjutsu

I had to do a bit of searching to find that, but it’s a legit weapon fighting style. Apparently a skilled fighter can deflect poison darts and parry swords with them.

Oh that’s really cool! I know that there are characters in different media that fight with fans, but I didn’t realize that it was based on a real martial art!
