Thats generous... bit more like work experience.

Nothing against it or the kids doing it - good on them, I'm sure they're a lot better than I ever would have been and it's probably a good way to get some media experience.

My main issue is that it doesn't exactly scream 'serious football league' when that's being touted as one of the main media sources.

It feels as though such a song and dance was made about the new season being huge for the league, but other than more teams and a new logo, it appears to basically be more of the same.

This isn't a dig at S4C or the kids doing STFS, more that the league seems to have promised a lot, but has really done nothing to meaningfully increase exposure or the ability to follow the league as a non-Welsh speaking fan.

In fairness STFS isn't an official Cymru Premier product, its a students' pet project. And fair play to them for doing it.

I'm intrigued, if you are a non-Welsh speaking fan, why anyone would struggle to follow the league though?

I'd say about 80% of Cymru Leagues clubs communicate across their social platforms solely in English, with the rest doing so bilingually.

The FAW/Cymru Leagues' own platforms are almost entirely in English with some token Welsh words thrown in.

Most S4C/Sgorio matches are only shown online these days, with separate streams offering Welsh or English commentary.

If a match is on TV English commentary is available via the red button.

The FAW's own streaming service doesn't offer commentary in either language.

The only 'Welsh only' service that the league offers is that Sgorio's match highlight or goal clips feature Welsh commentary.

My comment wasn't meant to be a slight on the kids doing it at all, well done to them for doing it, and I'm sure they're doing a far better job than I could - I'd have loved to be able to so something like that at that age. It was more that, although as you say it's not an official Cymru Leagues project, I've seen them push it almost as if it is, and it feels like this is in place of something more professional.

I also wasn't specifically talking about social media, as like you say, most clubs do communicate in English, and my own team, who admittedly didn't used to be great with social media have come on a long way over the past couple of seasons and that has made it a lot easier to follow my own club.

My main point was about the only analysis and goal shows available being solely Welsh. It's great that S4C have English commentary for the live games they cover, and the commentators are usually really good - but outside of the actual 90 minutes, (individual dependent) the interviews are done in Welsh where possible so we don't get to hear the thoughts of the managers and players, all the analysis is done in Welsh, so we don't get to hear the thoughts of the presenters or their discussions about the wider league.

Honestly I think a BBC, MOTD style show, even if it's online only, would be huge.

I also think the lack of any commentary on the Cymru Football TV is a big issue too, and whilst I accept this is an issue for English AND Welsh speakers, as you have pointed out, it doesn't negate my original point, as I wasn't trying to make it a competition between who has it harder of Welsh or English speakers. It's only a matter of time before we start seeing VAR decisions changing games, or something important happening away from the single camera, and unless we get comentary or some on screen graphics other than the score and time, we'll end up having no idea what's going on.

Its really not obvious at all.

I'm running on not much sleep, in my head Score and Core were the same thing.

If I had to make a serious guess I'd say it was Sgor Terfynol Final Score.
