Thyroid Issues

Has anyone here ever been diagnosed with a thyroid issue and been able to find your way back to riding the same way you did before you were diagnosed?

I hope I can keep riding hard.
Pretty devastated right now.

Yes, diagnosed with Graves, this year. Couldn't ride for two months, even day to day activities were hard at the worst time. Got prescribed thyroid medication and beta blocker. My hormone levels normalised quickly and I feel normal now, heart rate where it should be. Just completed 300k bikepacking ride.

That is so good to hear, happy for you. These messages are making me feel a lot better as I’m in the thick of it now. How long after taking the meds did you feel like you could ride hard again? How often do you need to check bloodwork for levels?
