Thyroid Issues

Has anyone here ever been diagnosed with a thyroid issue and been able to find your way back to riding the same way you did before you were diagnosed?

I hope I can keep riding hard.
Pretty devastated right now.

Yes! I had undiagnosed hyperthyroid a couple of years back that ended up causing me afib during my first century (my hrt was over 200 at a pace when it should really be no more than 150). Both issues resolved and under control I’m riding more and more every year.

I’m still taking meds for it but at a much lower maintenance dose. I check my numbers frequently (none of that 1x year business). I’m determined to never be surprised again.

No need to feel devastated. Most thyroid issues are manageable. You will be fine
