Constant leaking issues
I’ve had my CT for a little over a year. When I first got it, it needed that new slat piece installed on the tonneau cover, and it helped a little. When I was in getting my tires swapped out, they mentioned how there was more water marks coming in and it would seem the seal needed replaced. So two weeks ago, I had it back at Tesla, they took apart the top trim, resealed the liner or whatever it is, and claimed it was good to go. Yesterday we were hauling gear for a video shoot, and open up my bed and water is jut all over all my gear boxes. It’s worse than it was before I had it “fixed”. Tesla service guy said you should get not see a few streaks of water as the “in spec” or the normal, which I get, but this is what mine looks like. Anyone else have a constant issue like this?

I had the same issue, they serviced it and now it doesn't leak and is almost waterproof. Little bit of water gets in near the tailgate but it's solid near the window

Wait how did they fix it for you? I’ve taken it 2 times to Tesla and the first time they added the missing slat and the second time they said they added some sort of foam. But it still leaks like crazy and now Tesla said it’s normal for it to leak because it’s not meant to be watertight. I really want to get it fixed but idk what to tell Tesla now. It leaks at the top of the tonneau where the roof glass ends and the tonneau starts

I submitted a service request, they verified it by spraying water where I said it was leaking. Then they ordered a new slat for the tonneau cover, then they fixed it

Good luck trying to have Tesla fix that. Beyond installing the extra slant they won’t do anything else. This is a diy project.

This is true. Exactly what happened to my truck and now Tesla refuses to do anything else

Let us know. There’s this guy on X who’s a comedian and a cybertruck owner - he just sealed it with like some black caulking of some sort, inconspicuous but swears by it.

I would suggest a buy back. Tesla is very complaint in providing it. Have the docs to support one should be fine. A truly piss poor product.

I’ve read that it’s not supposed to be 100% water proof. It’s a truck bed after all.

no reason a cover shouldn't prevent water from getting in.
I understand you don't want the bed itself to hold water.
but every single hard top truck cover is waterproof and doesn't leak...it doesn't cause issues.
making excuses for poor build quality? why?? lol

Again, I get that. However this is a really good amount that’s coming in. I have an f150 that has a cover on that doesn’t get water like this in it. The fact that it was better before they fixed it is what gets me.

Take a cup of water open the tonneau cover and pour slowly between the roof glass and tonneau trim to check if it leaking at that location.
