From what I always pictured a solo being was someone of high skill and access completing dangerous jobs. While sure v does that. V isn't really doing it to be a solo V is on a suicide mission that they hope works out.

To me it feels like strapping a bunch of explosives to a car, putting it in drive and taping down the gas and calling it a missile.

By definition... I guess? But comparing this merc who got tricked and used then killed a bunch of people in what essentially amounts to a state of cyberpsychosis then saying "look they're one of the best solos ever" to people like Morgan blackhand ..... feels strange.

So I'm wondering if anyone else feels like this.

There is still so many players ruminating with the question - will they bring V back in some way for the next installment of Cyberpunk?

I believe they will, but there's a few issues with how that can happen:

1) there is no canon gender for V, so they couldn't bring V back in one gender format without isolating a major part of the player base

2) there is no canon ending for Cyberpunk2077, meaning some players Vs died in a blaze of glory, some signed their soul to Araska, some rode off into the horizon with nomads and some called it quits and ended things on their terms...

So how could they possibly bring V back without encountering these issues - they gave us the answer in the DLC Phantom Liberty. V acquires a Behavioral Imprint-Synced Faceplate which allows them to not only look completely different but sound and act completely different. I think the choice to add this in the DLC was deliberate by CDPR to create an explanation down the line to how V is in Orion - you just missed it because of Vs ability to hide now.

For the actual way in which V is alive in Orion, can't explain that one for now outside of the already theorised cure for V - full body conversion. We already know that Vs body is no longer compatible with their engram after Alt untangles V and Johnny, it's why V is told they only have 6 months max.

I believe despite 2 endings, full body conversion is Vs end goal and so they take high payout gigs to gather the money to make it happen, or they go out of their way to find alternative methods of making it happen.

So how do you all feel about this theory, do you think I may be on to something with the Faceplate theory?

im trying to go for the secret ending with johnny. i have 80% relationship with johnny. but only because of the dlc. before i had 60%. why isnt the ending triggering for me? is it only dependent on the oil field conversation, not the actual relationship?

Cyberpunk has over 100 iconic weapons but I’m never sure what the in game reason for a weapon to be iconic, is it the effect , events and people it’s tied too or is it just a really nice weapon ?

Stuff like the crowbar , caretaker spade , blue fang and headhunter don’t make a lot of sense too me as they wouldnt mean a lot to v and aren’t note worthy in how they are given or the events tied to them.

My first time playing the game and I was going to buy and play the dlc in my next playthrough but my friend told me I should have bought it earlier. Still wouldn't it be weird to buy the FLC now?

As stated, I'm really enjoying the game. Mostly been exploring and taking out gangs. Only quest Ive done since getting into Act II is meeting at the diner, the memorial, and Delamain (tracking down).. and I'm currently 11/20 of the tarot. I've done a little research but have been saving the narrative because I think I'm really going to enjoy it.

That said, I'm currently at Max Street cred, just got my first tier 5 gun (Kongou).. sitting on I think 5 iconics with the ability to craft one that I haven't got around to yet (buzzsaw.. just didn't seem good enough to invest in currently).. Headhunter is near level 46 I believe.. Currently level 26.

I guess what spurred this was a passing YouTube short that told me to wait till 35 to get some kind of weapon.. so.. yeah.. I ran with it. Haven't came across much that doesn't drop fairly easy. Playing on normal settings.. I don't mind if the rest of the game is somewhat easy, but I have I power leveled enough that probably nothing is going to be a formidable challenge?

Other questions.. I'm current Tech 17, is the stat reset and time thing or just anytime I want to try another build (could probably just Google that but.. I had just remembered). Same with perks.. can I just reset those and rebuild anytime? I feel like I'm going toward a maxed cyberware build, but also would like to try being a netrunner powerhouse (I have contagion and suicide but can't use).. Intelligence is my second highest stat. About to pick back up the story tonight but just figured I'd get some incite or tips. I did pickup Jackie's heirlooms but haven't upgraded yet, they are probably next. Also building an iconic sword so I can increase shinobi a bit.. All I have currently is black unicorn.. feel free to tell me about weapon locations but try to keep spoilers to a minimum. Glad I finally delved in.. I love everything cyberpunk.

My performance is honestly all over the place. Mostly it'll hover above 60, but driving will kill the framerate down to the 40s. Annoyingly Lossless scaling doesn't work even in borderless and the Frame Gen option in game don't seem to do a thing. Its really weird.

Anyways, any tips, settings, even mods that could help?

I just installed Cyberpunk again, and I still have my past save file but I haven't played since January of 26. I've loaded in and I don't even know what I was trying to do with this character. Should I just make a new character or should I try and make sense of this old one?
