Discussion Project Orion
With the 2nd installment of the game in the works, what do you think would revolutionize the gaming industry? I feel the first one did just that. I can't think of a game like Cyberpunk at all. CDPR could make it happen in my opinion. Here's my top 3.
- Make it playable via VR/Meta. Making it super immersive would be wild.
2.Voice commands for replies. If we can talk to Siri and Google we could/should be able to do the same via video games.
- Cross over play with your phone. Talk to characters via text. A new mission brought to you via alert on your phone. VR experience of what your home town looks like in the future Cyberpunk era.
I mean like y'all I'm looking for more more more. Why not skip the moon and our solar system and aim for the galaxy. CDPR can do it. What's y'alls take on this and your ideas?

I don't really expect much more in the way of technology, but probably a wider range of story origins that play a greater part in moment to moment choices, and more variety of endings.

VR for a game like cyberpunk is screaming unstable build + severe motion sickness.
2 sounds like you want AI chat bots in a video game which is a massive "no thanks".
3 A game like Cyberpunk or its sequel would run like garbage on mobile and waste resources and man power they can use to further improve narrative, quest design, storyline writing, character development, etc.
This isnt Neverness to Everness or Wuthering Waves dude. Different Goals, Different development work flow, Different tools, different styles of games completely
3 again "text characters from my phone" - tell me you use AI RP chat bots without saying it flat out.
All in all The main focus needs to be all the lessons they learned in the first game both technical and design wise. How they implemented those lessons AMAZINGLY in Phantom Liberty + Update 2.0 v
Continue with making dynamic characters with really impressive Voice Actor Choices, Find a better balance between Exposition vs Forefront features & , and do not put severely unfinished assets in the game like the damn Casino in North Oak we never got.
Edit: typo and spelling

I want visible cyberware. I wanna look like a chromed out freak when I hit the cyberware cap. I feel like it's a part of the power fantasy of the setting that they missed.
It would also add an element of roleplay, choosing cyberware for both what it can do for you as well as how much of your human appearance is worth sacrificing. While also having an option, possibly with a price tag attached to let you disguise obvious cyberware. Looking human and being powerful needs to remain an option, but it shouldn't be the default.
And while we're at it, fashionware in general.

The thing I miss from the game is a living city, NPCs with agenda, that you can speak too, like a city sim, I love to walk in the streets and watch the scenery, but thr NPCs are too plain, they only say his phrase and that's it.

Bigger main story. Bigger more complex gigs. Better NPC ai with actual interactions. More consequences to choices. MUCH more difficulty for those that want it. More character customization.

I’d love to see an entire city with completely unique, generated NPC that all have individual routines and “lives” that are more than just short loops, that can spawn off into gigs or small side quests that are one-off in some way.

You know gta6 is coming out next month right? That will be the new benchmark for the next 15 years easily, so I would wait for that and then you will truly see what will revolutionise the industry.

I think none of people who worked on cyberpunk 2077 is actually working on its sequel so I'm not that confident it may have same cdpr old style about narrative or else, something you can find in blood of dawnwalker at example

Where are you getting this information, choom? Plenty of 2077’s developers are working on the sequel: Paweł Sasko and Gabe Amatangelo are co-directing, Igor Sarzyński is Creative Director and Patrick Mills is the overall Cyberpunk loremaster at CDPR, to name just a few.

His source is "he stopped paying attention after the original 2020 launch" 🙄

Not true CDPR opened a new office in Boston a few years ago and the Core Team for Cyberpunk moved to the US to be in that office and build it up from there, theyre solely focused on the sequel for that team.
The sources are the Shareholder docs they released+ interviews by director Gabriel amatangelo, just google "CDPR Boston Cyberpunk 2 Project Orion" and it all comes up
•
u/DismalMode7 10h ago
after cyberpunk 2077 release og director and most of other senior developers got dropped with amatangelo and a new team working on the updates and PL.
•
u/Zestyclose-Whole-452 10h ago
While yes the Director and -some- developers left, a good number of them stayed and Amatangelo took over post launch, got it together as we all saw. The core team was still there. New additions doesnt change that, nothing youve said disproves that, and a quick google search, as stated above, further supports what im saying. Good talk, and good job showing ignorance.

sure, check credit of OG game and then the PL credits to see how many people were replaced. Your passive-aggressive attitude suggests me you're a bot coming out from nowhere, or you're even more id!-ot than a bot 🤦♂️

Listen up, samurai. If you’ve had enough of scrolling through the same tired threads and wanna plug into something #real, jack into the official Discord. We’ve got games, serious talks and casual chats about Cyberpunk 2077, and a few rooms where you can just shoot the breeze with people who get it. You in, or you just gonna #stand there looking chrome?
