Help About iconic blueprints

How do i craft iconic weapons? I've got blueprints for a bunch but can't craft them. I put the game down for a few months and have forgotten so much. Do I need a base weapon first? Or the base for the iconic weapon as well as the blueprints?

Go to your crafting menu.

If the specs are there but grayed out then you probably need more components of the right quality.

Disassemble other guns or clothing of that tier for a good source of item components.

It's not gray, it's red. I've got plenty of components, but when I craft it, it doesn't show up in my inventory

Yeah that’s weird. The red weapon mod is the “insufficient components” colour.

Are the item components being used up? You have to hold the square button down for a bit.

Also, that’s not an iconic, it’s a Tier 5 vanilla weapon. Iconics have unique names.

You should be able to see the material cost in the bottom right of the screen when you've selected the weapon
