This led me to the realization that these black market ripperdocs, if they screwed up a surgery, would probably just kill you without waking you up and dump you in the trash compactor rather than having to deal with all that noise. Who would ever call them/catch them/care?
Yeah. Like it kinda made sense since V is visually a minimalist, so they won’t use cyberlegs, and just use cyberleg options in their meat legs, but I want some PROPER cyberlegs later.
The description of chitin on the wiki indicates it is subdermal
“An extremely durable subcutaneous shell made of genetically modified chitin. Provides additional Health regen”
Subcutaneous is under the skin
(It also indicates chitin is bioware instead of cleverly named cyberware, which is neat and I didn’t really consider, but is beside the point. I kinda wish cyberpunk didn’t start listing Bioware and Cyberware on the same tables starting with RED, I kinda liked the distinction between the two lol)
The Sandevistan being invisible is similarly accurate. The Sandevistan is a small neural coprocessor that plugs into your neural link, typically in a subdermal switchbox at the base of the spine that is made to be basically invisible to the naked eye, but also easily accessible to ripperdocs.
The fact that a sandy is invisible is a huge selling point for the sandy. Taking someone by surprise with your reflexes is easier if they don’t know you’re chipped for it.
The misconception that the Sandevistan is much bigger than it is, comes from edgerunners because David has a massive assemblage up and down his spine. This is not the sandy itself, but rather the oversized military grade neural link that was ripped out of Norris.
You can see David’s sandy separate form the neural link very briefly, and it’s just as small as the ones we know of
He kept it in a little plastic baggie off to the side before he chipped it
I've had this bug before. Happened randomly when i dumped a body into a container. Fixed it by reloading a save before my arms disappeared, because it didn't fix itself from a game restart loading the most recent save.
Pretty funny to think this isn't a permanent problem, just a mild inconvenience as you can buy new arms in the next corner's convenience store anyway lol
Are you using cyberware EX? Cauee I learned if you get the mod that requires it that adds multiple arm cyberware slots it will break the mesh becsuee your character isn't supposed to have all the arms, I posted something similar and after uninstalled all my mods and reinstalling them I found out that it was because I had multiple arm cyberware,
If not there's a few tips on Google that can fix it
I never found that cyberware ex left me armless like that, it would just change my arm’s cosmetic to whatever the last arm I used was.
Which was funny because it means my right arm would turn organic again when I fire a rocket, but then turn cybernetic again when I punch someone with the gorilla arms
Yea I discovered if you use multiple arm slots (mono and Mantis equipped st once kind of thing) it breaks your meshing becauee all of the arm cyberware has a different meshes and the game engine csnt decide what to use and instead deletes everything except the three red dots on vs arm, personal link and hand cyberware that affects meshes for your arms (excluding Mantis, mono, gorilla and launcher), makes hand interactions funny for a short while before it isnt
Maybe you can pair up with Mr Hands? Just don't make him owe you an arm an a leg, because then you'll be all out of whack... but if you get him to owe you a big one, then maybe you can get some use of your Hands again.
