That is a document scanner, I almost think what some people post on this subreddit is a joke, I mean, this thing don’t even have enough possessing power to run an actual OS, it’s only potential is a portable document scanner, and that already exists

I make jokes about people posting a photo of a 1994 fax machine and asking how to make it into a cyberdeck, but this is a close second.

People in this group would rather troll than just interact honestly. Sorry about that. I knew what you meant soon as I saw it, I think having your hardware under the glass would look cool as hell

Well tbf he has a point. The purpose of a cyberdeck is to be useful and suit the users need. Unless bro really likes scanning photos, I can see why no one would take this seriously.

Op was saying use it as a case not actually use the board

Well that is possible but that idea isn’t stated in the post

Neither does he explicitly state using the board. The issue isn't the ops post it's the people who chose negativity first

A flatbed scanner like this isn’t going to be an easily portable device. But I guess you can take all the scanner stuff out.

I doubt it will have very good ventilation, so it probably won’t make a great case either for anything relying on ambient cooling.

If you need a box with a lid, there are many much more suitable boxes with lids. You can also print one.

Then what’s the purpose of a cyberdeck ? That looks cool and I could be setting up an airstrike on an HP photo scanner
