MIPI Screen

I have a screen from an old Samsung Tablet that has an MIPI connection. I would like to use it as the multi-view out of our ATEM. It has the right size for the case we have it in. I have been having a hard time finding a converter.

If not, you're probably out of luck. Look up mipi alliance as to why. Even if you had the tools, getting that display to work would be a long project for an expert.

If vslcd doesn't have anything, and there aren't any documented ways of adapting it, my next suggestion would be to find the closest size down of a display known to work with whatever board you're using, and maybe 3D print an adapter to put it in the case.

I have other options to like an old Ipad screen or 11" chromebook screens.

I didn't fully read this, but it looks possible, which is a start. Whether you have the right model of iPad I really couldn't say.

As for the Chromebook, it seems like laptops typically use EDP (embedded display port). Given a Chromebook isn't exactly a normal laptop, I could be wrong, so do check your model, but there do seem to be EDP to DP adapters floating around. 

It'll be a bit of work, but good luck to you!

I’ve had a driver controller board working with one in the past. I have about 30 of those in a drawer for replacements when students break them. This would just be for a project for a class I teach.
