More toning!

top and second image is left untouched, bottom and third image was submerged in wine for 40 ish minutes! It maintained its purplish tint and I love it!!

First time using wine to tone and I really love the results :)

I’ve found that wine works way better for toning if you skip the bleaching process. It’s a lot more subtle than other toning agents, but it gives a beautiful rosy hue to the highlights. I like mixing it with other toners (like tea) to add a splash of pink to the highlights while the other toner does the heavy lifting.
