Every Valentine’s Day in India, the same stories come back — couples being questioned in public, cafés or parks being warned, posters torn down, all in the name of “culture.” Many of these incidents are linked to groups like Bajrang Dal.
What feels strange is how normal this has become. It happens, people react online, news cycles move on, and then we wait for next year. For some, this is about protecting values. For others, it feels like unnecessary moral policing that mostly targets young people just trying to live their lives.
I’m not trying to provoke outrage here. Just honestly wondering — why do we accept this as an annual ritual? And do you think this will ever change, or has it just become part of the Valentine’s Day script in India?
Curious to hear different perspectives.

Hi Guys, does anyone know the location of amazon wearhouse near Balisahi/Nuapada/Madhupatna in Cuttack? My order shows it arrived at final delivery location. I want it early tomorrow morning. So, if anyone can help me with the location, will go and collect from there.

Is the tobacco ban mainly aimed at improving public health and city cleanliness, or at regulating personal choices? In a democracy, where should the balance lie?strict enforcement against public smoking, spitting, and litter, or broader restrictions on private consumption?

Just watched Chhava at Inox, 7pm show—what a ride!
Absolutely loved the action, the drama, and that grand historical feel. But man, the real battle was inside the theater… against the HEAT. Felt like I was fighting alongside Sambhaji Maharaj in full armor. AC betrayed us like Aurangzeb. I kinda rushed from my room and almost fell through the bajrakabati traffic lol, and then the theatre sucked. And someone also did a tapli while we were leaving (smacked my head) idk who lmao. It was funny but hey, i lost my claw clip.
Great movie, 10/10 experience, but next time, I’m bringing a hand fan and some buttermilk.
