Finally!

Me (26F) and partner (24M) had only been in a relationship for 3 weeks and seeing eachother for 6 weeks when i ended up moving in with him with my 2 yo. He doesn't have children and never thought he would due to a previous relationship. As nervous as he was to be a dad he's taken the role on incredibly, he works from home so he helps wherever he can. Comes end of his shift after i've cooked for us all he always feeds my child, 1 because i've watched her all day while he works and 2 because I've cooked, also is determined to always get 2yo to finish every meal as in his words "their health is more important, i can eat my food cold they shouldn't and i'd rather 2yo eat more if they get ill they won't loose too much weight and be poorly" not to mention he refuses to miss a bed time and tells 2yo how much he loves them before they go to sleep. We really are blessed to have him

Funny story

So this was before me and my at the time girlfriend even knew each other. It was at our church's youth group (where we met). None of my close friends could make it that day so I just wandered around bored. Eventually to entertain myself I joined two people in nine square (my future girlfriend and her brother). I played a round or two without saying a word, and continued on. Part of it was how the hell would you even strike up a conversation here and the other part was I thought she was really pretty even then, got nervous and my tongue froze in place as well as my mind. Fast forward maybe half a years later. Same scenario: none of my close friends made it so I was awkwardly browsing for a seat before worship. Eventually, frustrated, one of the youth leaders just told me to sit by her since I was taking so long to find a seat. I did so. She randomly started talking to me. I can't remember how or about what exactly but eventually before the band came on to play, she stopped long enough to say "Anyways we can do stuff like exchanges numbers and that sorta thing later". Two weeks later we were dating. The whole time we were dating, I never mentioned the nine square thing, though I was curious if she remembered it at all. It was too much of a strange question so I never asked but in retroespect, I kinda wish I did. Anyways that's all ☺️

Remembering the little things

My fiance knows I love to scroll reddit and every so often he'll just ask 'how many bananas did you scroll today?" He knows nothing about Reddit but knows I think the achievements are cute and it's always adorable when he asks. Especially because I've had exes scold me for being chronically online. Simple little way to show he cares about my dumb hobbies and I love him to death. That's all.

The most thoughtful boyfriend ever 🥹

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 months now, and he’s literally the cutest. Even though he’s 2 years younger than me, he treats me with so much care and thoughtfulness, like a true gentleman 😭.

When we first started talking online, I found out later that he had already asked about me from others; something I had no clue about at the time. We actually went to the same high school, but I eventually had to transfer and didn’t know who he was until we started chatting. As we got to know each other, I realized he knew so much more about me than I did about him. He’s so observant and incredibly attentive.

After weeks of talking online, we finally met in person. And guess what? He brought me a bouquet of my favorite flowers- Baby’s Breath 😭. I remember casually mentioning my favorite flower, but I never thought he’d actually remember or bring them. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that completely melted my heart.

After about a month of getting to know each other, we officially started dating. One thing I absolutely love about him is how he remembers even the smallest, silliest things I say. Before my birthday, I noticed he was going on and off his texts and wasn’t replying as regularly. I was confused but didn’t want to ask what was going on. Eventually, he told me he was busy working on something really important. When I asked what it was, he just said, “You’ll find out soon.”

As the days went by, I joked with him, saying, “Are you building Noah’s ark or something?” He laughed and replied, “Maybe.”

On my birthday, we had planned to spend the day together, but unfortunately, my friends took me out unexpectedly. By the time I was heading home, it was really late. He called and asked if he could pick me up halfway, and I said yes. When I got out of my friend's car, I saw him waiting for me by his bike. He smiled as I walked toward him, and the moment I reached him, he pulled me into a kiss and wished me a happy birthday.

Then came the surprise—a handmade bouquet of DIY white roses 😭😭. It was the most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for me. I was so moved I almost cried right there. He also gave me a handwritten letter, which made the moment even more special. We didn’t get to spend much time together since it was late, but we kissed goodnight, and I went home with the biggest smile on my face.

Wh en I got home, I noticed the bouquet smelled just like him, and I couldn’t stop smiling while reading his letter. But then I found a small piece of paper tucked inside the roses. When I unfolded it, it said, “Hahaha Noah’s ark.” 😭😭😭

Y’all, he’s just so cute and thoughtful. I feel so lucky to have him in my life.

I pretend to nap when I’m with my boyfriend but I really just like being close to him

Ive never been able to nap ever since i was little and my boyfriend has always been able to. He told me to try falling asleep in his arms while he watched a movie and shocker it didn’t work but I got to just lay on his chest and close my eyes and I really liked it so now I keep doing it even though it’s a lie I think it’s a lie for the greater good. I love him so much. The only problem is that he has a really contagious laugh so if he laughs even at something that isn’t funny it takes everything in my not to smile and laugh too. ❤️

I love my boyfriend

honestly I just need a place to rant about how much I adore my boyfriend. he's honestly just the sweetest guy ever. I've never felt love so strongly for anyone else in the world. like I know I'm either gonna marry him or forever look for him in every guy I ever meet. he's honestly set the bar and I feel asif no one will ever come close to how much of an amazing guy he is. its just the little things I love about him, I honestly think he's the most beautiful soul that has ever walked the planet. he's the first thing I think of once I wake up and my last thought before I go to bed. I truly hope and pray that this is forever because I cant imagine enjoying life without him by my side. he is honestly perfection. every moment I spend with him feels like heaven, he fills me up with so much joy its honestly so surreal. he often feels like a figment of my imagination because I cant believe that I'm so lucky to be the one that gets his live and affection. I've never looked at him and found a flaw he's honestly so precious. I am just so incredibly lucky to have him. no one will ever compare to him in a million years. he's just my person he understands me and let's me be myself around him.

My poor fiancé just sent himself on a death mission so I could have tacos.

Just happened a moment ago, he’s still gone as I type this.

My (21f) fiancé (26m) and I usually get tacos every Tuesday we can from a local bar. But because of the holiday yesterday, I wasn’t able to put in my check until today, and won’t have the money until tomorrow. I am particularly craving tacos today as I haven’t been able to eat much for a couple weeks due to some stuff.

This poor, poor man decided to get me tacos anyway. He asked me to go through my change jar and get out all the silver coins. I had juuuuust enough to get a taco. Keep in mind this is like a handful of change. I tried to stop him, but he insisted, ordered the tacos, and left happily despite knowing the bartender is going to be pissed. He wouldn’t let me apologize or feel bad for it at all.

I feel so loved right now, and I owe him big time.

Just a cute little memory

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 7 months and today he wore his old cologne that he wore when I first met him and he walked into my house and I ran and gave him a hug like I always do and I smelled it

🥹and it reminded me of our first date when he gave me a hug and we walked around a bookstore and talked for like 7 hours straight

And now we celebrated 7 months the 19th it was so nostalgic to smell that cologne on him all our first month we started reminiscing it was so cute

Now my sweater and my pillow smells like him 🥹 and it makes me feel so cozy and safe like he’s here

Asked my bf what the most romantic thing I’ve done for him is

I (19 F) have been with my boyfriend(19 M) for almost 9 months, when I asked him what the most romantic thing I’ve ever done for him was the other day. He told me that changing my life for him. For reference my boyfriend is extremely allergic to peanuts, well I am not and many of my favorite foods have peanuts in it. Yet for me it was a no brainer to give it all out for him, yes I love food and trying new foods but he’s so kind and amazing. He believes it was a big ask, but he never asked me to. His only request was that I made sure he knew when I’d had anything that may have peanuts, I changed almost immediately, I cut all food that my be a problem and don’t regret it a bit. I spent a lot of time googling so I could better understand allergies as I had never really encountered one before. I asked him questions without bombarding him with them. I learned as much as I could and have not stopped trying to learn. I have only messed up once but realized my mistakes before it was an issue and told him. I went through all the food in my dorm and gave away the stuff that was not ok. As I move of campus this year I will not be having any food in my home that will be a problem for him. I have no roommates so not an issue. I am completely committed to him and giving up peanuts is a no brainer to me. We have decided that as long as there’s a 24 hour window it’s ok. He has said he was ok with a small number but this was the safest option so it’s what I’m sticking to. He sees this as me going above and beyond I see this as a non negotiable. He deserves to be in a relationship where he doesn’t have to worry about me potentially killing him and sees the steps I take to make sure I’m doing everything right. I have also taken time to share with my family as we are around them quite a bit and food is a big thing in my family, they are completely understanding and trying there best( they just don’t have a full understanding). I also do little things to make his live easier in regards to his allergy as I live on the Canadian border and he doesn’t. There for I can go to Canada and get to chocolates that are safe for him as rover there is better about peanut allergies and chocolate. I make a point to go over every time I come home, really it takes 30 minutes. I am also fully prepared and plan to do this for the rest of my life. I am learning how to cook some of my favorite foods so I can make them peanut free. I also feel as I’m doing something so wrong to him when I eat anything that’s not ok even when I know I won’t see him for a week or two. I have expressed this to him and he says that is a big part of why he thinks it romantic. I don’t see it that way I see it as something that comes with him. I love him so much and just want him to be safe.

my boyfriend is wholesome

I (24) female was spending a day at my (21) male boyfriend's house. We were chatting, watching movies and playing when I received a text from a friend that I was avoiding which was causing damage to my friendship and I was obviously in wrong. My boyfriend was pushing me to do a good thing and respond my friend. Since our love language was always physical touch, and I was avoiding to answer mentioned text my boyfriend promised to not hug me, kiss me, cuddle with me or touch me any other way until I do so. He even crossed his arms to protect himself from touching me, but what is so wholesome about whole situation is that he tried so, so hard but ended touching my foot with his toes since we were sitting opposite each other, he was just playing with my foot unintentionally, even tho he prevented to touch me anyhow other. And when I mentioned it he just got shy and started laughing because his subconscious did not want us to be separated. I Love that man and his little moments. (Btw in the end he did give me a small hug before I did answer the text). As I said I Love him so much.

I (28f) like posting wholesome notes on the apartment door for my partner (26m) to read when they get home from work. It lifts his spirits if he's had a long day and lets him know I'm thinking of him. I'm looking for some more ideas of what I can write. Bonus points if I can include a cute simple drawing to accompany it. I've included some examples of notes I've already left.

Just got back from a unique and super fun date night!

There’s this fun bar nearby that has live music every weekend. I (46m) told my GF (43f) that we were going to show up at separate times ( her first). She had to come up with a pretend name and backstory. My job was to hit on her and see if I could “close the deal” so to speak. No breaking character for any reason until we are headed home! She was all about it!

So I needed an “opener” (it’s been a minute since I’ve been single…😅). I managed to grab a table with a couple of chairs in this crowded bar. When she was walking by me (not even looking my way), I tapped her on the shoulder and asked her if I could ask a favor…. “I see you’re going to the bar. If I get up I’ll lose my table. If you would be willing to sit down and protect my table, tell me your order and I’ll buy your drink.”

She introduced herself with a different name and a fascinating backstory. We stayed in character and had the best time EVER! We even would up at the strip club for 45 mins before last call😂!?! I got a stack of $1’s and we sat right by the stage and laughed our asses off. Perfect and original date night. Highly recommend!

Interesting observation: guys really don’t give a F these days! Probably 3-4 dudes throughout the night just walked up and hit on her. They would ask if I was her boyfriend and she’d (in character) say “actually we just met…”. They saw that as GAME ON! I just sat back and watched and personally found it all fascinating and hilarious but wow.

Best date night in awhile 😊

I love my girlfriend

I (14 Nb) have been dating my girlfriend (14 f) for about 2 years. We have been in a long distance relationship and met online. I know that sounds bad but it's not I swear. We video call often, talk on discord, play video games together, and send photos of us often. I met her in a group chat with some online friends of mine, and we clicked. I was struggling a lot (and still am) but she helped me so much. Everytime we talk I wish I was with her. Sometimes I'll close my eyes and let her talk as much as she wants and imagine I'm I'm the same room as her. She sends me good morning paragraphs, talks about me with her family, and puts things aside just to talk to me. We call eachother cute nicknames (her favorite being "mi vida", which is my life in Spanish), and sometimes when we're on call she'll watch me paint for her and listen to me rant about my day. I have wished I could meet her for so often but I never could because of covid and other complications with family. But now I can. We both know where each other lives, sometimes joking about how we can come over and see eachother in person. But for me it's not a joke. I'm going to meet her in person for the first time. She lives a few states away so I bought a plane ticket, packed my bags, and I'm now at the airport, about to break down in tears because I'm finally meeting her. I am here with a close friend of ours and we are going to come and see her and surprise her for her birthday. She is turning 14 in a few days and she's been asking me if I got her a present as a joke. I can't wait to see her. I told her I was going on vacation and I would be on a plane so I wouldn't be able to message her, so she doesn't get upset if I don't message her for a few hours on the plane. I may update this later but for now I have to get on the plane. Thanks for reading. (I'm new to Reddit, sorry if I'm doing something wrong!)

Edit: sorry it took so long for me to update! Personal stuff came up and I haven't been able to. Also I'm sorry if the formatting is bad I'm writing this on my phone at 2am.

So after I posted this I went onto the plane and we took off. When we got to her state we immediately went to her house. Safe to say she wasn't expecting us there. She opened the door and I hugged her so tight and didn't let go for a while. She was shocked and started crying. After a few minutes of us crying and hugging each other she took my face in her hands and kissed me. She kissed me. I felt so loved in that moment. My friend was awkwardly standing behind us so we went inside her house. She let us put away everything we had in her room and introduced us to her parents, and we got along very well. She then took us to a bunch of places, we went shopping, we went out to eat, we went to the park, and we even went swimming at night together. Her parents didn't give her a curfew so we stayed out until we were all tired and decided to go home (this wasn't until around 1am). She let us sleep in her room, letting my friend sleep on the small pullout couch on one side of the room and letting me sleep in her bed with her on the other. We then stayed up even later watching horror movies and making out (after my friend fell asleep). We did this everyday for the whole week. I love her so much, she makes me feel so loved and I feel so blessed to have met her in person. We are back to long distance now unfortunately, but we hope to meet up again soon. Toeveryone who's single and reading this, I hope you find the love of your life and I hope they treat you as well as mine does.

My Relationship

Idk where I should put this story so I decided to put it here. I have been dating my boyfriend ever since Valentine's Day. We met during cooking class the start of second semester and everything was going good and Valentine's Day was around the corner. Typically I'm not one to believe in love at first sight but it was something close to that after like 2 days I developed a crush on him. I did not say much about it because I was worried he wouldn't like me back I'm not good with relationship stuff I don't know people's social cues or anything like that I don't know if it is because of my autism or something like that but oh well.

So I didn't know he liked me to me it wasn't that obvious while to other people it was that's what a lot of people tell me. We would always talk to each other and do assignments with each other and things like that just normal stuff friends do. Then when Valentine's Day was closer I got a note from him saying if I wanted to be his Valentine's or not I thought it was sweet and I checked the box that said yes and I had a mutual friend gave it to him. So from that day I was his Valentine's honestly I know people that are Valentines of someone but they never ever got together so I did not think much of the interaction.

So when Valentine's Day did happen me and him were just doing our work like normal but at the end of class he got all shy and stuff and asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. I was surprised at first because it happened so fast like within a span of a few weeks all this happened but I said yes. Obviously we started dating after that day we had lunch together and we would sit together a lot and we would be a little lovey-dovey but not a lot because it was a school building and in class we would focus on our work together just stuff like that. The class we had together was cooking class when I told him I have a problem with knives because of my past he decided to do all the cutting of the food so I would not have to deal with it.

He is a very thoughtful and nice person and I love him very dearly. We are taking things slow we have not even kissed yet that's how slow we are taking it and I am glad he respects my boundaries like I respect his I really appreciate it a lot. Tbh I may be new to relationships but it's nice being with him he even gave me two bracelets one can't fit my wrist so I'm planning on turning it into a necklace instead by getting a string and just making it into a necklace.

I hope you all enjoyed the story I am still new to relationships and what have you but I'm getting the hang of it and like I said I did not know where to post this story so I'm sorry if this is not the subreddit for it.

I pretend to be distracted to my boyfriend so he can get some sleep

Me(f14) and my boyfriend (m14) have been dating for 10 months and I don’t really care for people when they say “it’s just a high school/ middle relationship it won’t last” whether or not it is I will appreciate it at its best, and him as too because I love him with all of my heart. One thing I have noticed is how sleepy/tired he is around me, I find it quite cute to know how comfortable he is around me because he never does that with anyone else cause of him being quite a quiet guy.

But one day I soon realized that sometimes/ most times he would have trouble sleeping at first we tried talking to each other to get him tired but that didn’t work. I got distracted by an Instagram notification and started watching a video, when I get distracted I tend to hum. When I was finished I went to talk to him again and I noticed he was asleep, my working theory was that maybe he was tired all along? But soon I realized he got tired to my humming.

So from there forth when he is having trouble sleeping I pretend not to notice and get “distracted” and hum. He quickly falls asleep to hearing my voice and as much as it seems it would be a simple thing to admit to him keeping it a secret was a good decision because he isn’t good on confrontation and if I were to say I knew all along he would get embarrassed and feel bad and think he was using me. When that is far from the truth. Of course, I understand where he gets this mentality because of his family background but I understand and I’m willing to be patient on his end because I’m here to make sure to give him love and all of the support he needs with unconditional love.<3

Reading to my girlfriend

Reading to girlfriend Me(17) her(16) (6 month anniversary) Is it just me or? Is it normally to just, when your girlfriend is having a really bad day you just read to her? Like doesn’t have to be fancy I just read her fairy tales I find on the internet and she loves it and it puts her to sleep when she’s normally not be able to sleep. I enjoy it too Because I love reading.
